The price of gold continued to soar to Rs 43,156 per tola (11.664gm) on Saturday.
The price of the yellow metal continuously risen for the last five days after remaining static at Rs. 42,000 per tola (Rs. 36,010 per 10 gm ) last week.
According to Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (NGSDA), the rise in price is correspondent with the increment in the international market.
Due to fluctuation of dollar's value along with rise in the price of crude oil, the price of gold and silver has been affected in the international market, said NGSDA.
The exchange rate of US dollar fluctuated to stand at Rs. 72.80 for US$ 1 on Thursday while it was Rs. 72.30 on Sunday, Rs. 72.65 on Monday and Rs. 72.55 on Tuesday.
The oil price has also reached US$ 101 per barrel in the international market on Thursday.
The precious metal was traded at Rs. 36,435 per 10 gm, Rs. 36,525 per 10 gm, Rs. 36,610 per 10 gm, Rs. 36,950 per 10 gm, and Rs. 37,000 per 10 gm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
